"We Are Not Alone" When Jack spoke the words,
he did so as he looked outward in the direction of the window. When Sara
moved him close to the window in his wheelchair, in the company of
Jack’s doctor, Jack Redman stared upward and his eyes seemed unusually
focused on the stars. That night also presented an unimpeded view and
the stars seemed to sparkle everywhere, particularly those same two or
three stars that held Jack’s attention. The specialist recorded his
patient’s voice and there was no question that Jack said it over and
over at a more rapid pace, once he was directly by the window.
Sara Redman was confused and the bewilderment of the specialist made her
all the more unsteady. The words didn’t make any sense to her, but then
again nothing in her life seemed to follow any rational anymore. The
fact remained that Jack was going to make her a widow and the doctor
said that the last CAT scan revealed that he only had perhaps, one more
month to live and that was stretching it. There was no hope!

Michael Price was an average student among his classmates, within his
senior year in high school. At seventeen years old, he sometimes felt
awkward, didn’t quite know what profession he wanted to enter into and
wasn’t particularly popular with the young ladies. He was of average
height and weight, lived alone with his divorced father, and rarely saw
his mother, who had moved to the States.
Michael’s father and he lived in a Tudor style, four thousand square
foot, single home in Sydney, Australia. He thought of his father as
being very wealthy and kind, but that he spent far too much time at
work. Michael couldn’t blame him though. He knew that his father was
brilliant and not only were there a great deal of people who admired
